what this is

DROSOPHILA is a science and art project: a computer model of a fruit fly's brain, built from a real, fully traced connectome (MaleCNS) and a published brain model (Shiu et al. 2024), running live. what it does are runs of a model, not laboratory results about real flies. it is here for learning and curiosity.

using it

  • be decent: no spam, no attacks, no automated flooding of the fly or the site.
  • anything you send the fly is public and may be shown, quoted and kept in its log.
  • the site, the fly and its accounts are offered as they are, with no warranty, and may change or stop at any time.

credits and licences

the connectome, brain model and other datasets belong to their authors and are used under their own licences, credited where they are used.
